Meet Lafayette Pointe's Dietary Team

For Culinarians Day, we are thrilled to highlight our exceptional Dietary Department, whose members go above and beyond for our residents and staff, ensuring that every meal is both delicious and nutritious.
AJ has been with our company for 2.5 years. He joined us after an injury that had kept him out of work for a while. Eager to get back into cooking, AJ found his place here.
“I like to cook, and I know I’m making a difference in the residents’ lives. This was an excellent opportunity, and I am happy to be here. The compliments from the residents and staff make me happy. My first year here, I always made time to sing Happy Birthdays to the residents in the dining room. On my birthday, a few of the residents came together and made me a birthday card. That will always be my favorite memory. In my free time, I enjoy hunting, fishing, video games, spending time with my family, and listening to music.”
Annie has been an integral part of our team for an impressive 45 years.
“I really enjoy being with our residents and cooking for them. I’ve met a lot of people in 45 years! I have so many happy memories here that I could tell you stories for days. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my grandchildren.”
Robbie, who has been with us for 2 years, came with a passion for cooking.
“I was happy to learn that I was being offered the job here; it was closer to home, and I heard good things in the community about the building. My favorite memories here are from around Christmas. The residents love this time of year. In my spare time, I love going to concerts, especially Blake Shelton!”
Savannah, with us for 10 years, loves her job and making her own money.
“I love having Willie as a manager; she is awesome. In my spare time, I like watching TV and listening to music.”
Heather, another long-term employee, has dedicated 27 years to our facility.
“I’m happy to make money so I can go shopping; I love shopping. This facility has a great team, and they’re great to work with.”
John has been with us for 8 years, transferring from a sister facility.
“I was very happy when Willie came to be our Dietary Manager here. She is such a great leader. This is a great facility, and I enjoy working here. In my free time, I hang out with my friends, do yardwork, and watch sports.”
Finally, our Dietary Manager is exceptional in her position.
“I have been here for a year and 2 months. I was thankful to become a Dietary Manager and come here. I have been in the Dietary Department for over 21 years now! I love seeing our residents smile. I go above and beyond to meet their needs. Our entire team does. When I am not working, I go fishing at Lake Erie, attend rough truck events, and spend time with my family. And when it’s football season, I am watching The Cowboys play!”
