Resident Highlight: Jeune Tingle

This month at Lafayette Pointe, we are delighted to feature Jeune Tingle in our Resident Highlight!



Jeune grew up in Cambridge, where she spent many wonderful years with her husband, Bob Tingle. Married for 61 years, they raised two beautiful children and shared a love for rescuing dogs from local shelters. Their family was known for always having a furry friend around. Together, they enjoyed traveling the world, embarking on adventures to Italy, France, and Mexico—three times! “We loved seeing different corners of the world and learning about the different cultures. It’s just fascinating,” Jeune recalls.

Jeune’s passion for learning and teaching led her to become a school teacher in Cambridge, a career she loved. She attended Miami University and Muskingum College to pursue her dream. “The kids made my job so interesting, and sometimes they even taught me things,” she says with a smile.

In May 2022, Jeune chose to make Lafayette Pointe her home after experiencing some memory challenges. “This place is close to my son—he is a great man and takes care of me. We heard nice things about it here,” she shares.

Since joining the Lafayette Pointe family, Jeune has embraced the community and formed special bonds with the team. “I just love it here. Marcy (LPN) and Crystal (STNA) are my favorite buddies. They are so sweet and the nicest girls,” she says. “I have absolutely no complaints. The activities are great, the food is good, and there’s something to do every day. I really enjoy the music!”

When asked what she would say to someone considering moving to Lafayette Pointe, Jeune doesn’t hesitate: “Just come and try it. You’ll like it. We have fun, and the girls call me ‘the Queen’ here! It makes me laugh!” Jeune, we are so grateful to have you as part of our Lafayette Pointe family. Thank you for sharing your story and bringing joy to those around you!
