Meet the Managers of Lafayette Pointe

For Licensed Nursing Home Administrator Week, we would like to highlight our dedicated managers. All our managers are amazing, committed, and special to our Lafayette facility. We are so lucky to have such an excellent group! Get to know our big bosses!

Tina Stockton, Social Worker

Tina is so helpful to our residents and families. Many meetings and phone calls consume her days. But she is always available to make our residents feel special!

"I wanted to become a Social Worker because I enjoy helping people. I have been here for a year. My management team, residents, and their families make it easy to do my job. Everyone works so well together here. My residents make my day, every day. They stop by my office just to say hi. The families are always smiling when they come into the building. I love to do things to make the residents feel special, like a new picture for their room or a surprise lunch! I love seeing them get to celebrate their birthdays and special events. It makes my heart so happy. This building is amazing. The residents receive great care, and I am proud to be a part of all the great things that happen within our facility. I will always recommend this facility to past co-workers and family. I tell them they have no idea how great this place is in so many ways. I am very happy I was given the opportunity to be a part of something so great. And Jay is the best Administrator ever!"

Amy Blevens, ADON, and Melissa Kennedy, DON

Amy and Melissa are our dynamic duo. They ensure the best possible care for our residents and are known for working long hours to help our nursing staff. But they do not stop there. You will see them helping with meals, helping our wonderful STNAs, and assisting our floor nurses with day-to-day tasks.

Amy Blevens shares,"I love taking care of people. I love the challenge and learning new things. I was offered this position by our Regional Nurse. I am starting RN classes soon and look forward to learning more. I have been here for 13 years; I love the staff and my residents. They have all become family. We have an impressive team here, and we strive to provide premium care." Melissa Kennedy shares, "I wanted to be a DON because I was looking for change where my opinion and ideas would be heard and valued. I wanted to have an influence on the floor. I have been here for 11 months now, and I genuinely enjoy it. I have made great friendships with my coworkers, residents, and their families. We have a very compassionate team who genuinely care about the residents. Many of our staff have been here for years which gives a huge sense of family."

Jennifer Weikart, HRD and Marketer

Jennifer is so active at the facility! She always puts together fun staff appreciation events (our favorite ones involve food!) and helps with activities and the floor staff. We appreciate her energy and positivity.

"I have been here just under a year. This is my favorite company I have been with; this company values their employees so much. They really believe in investing within. I came in as a Human Resource Director and was shortly promoted to doing our Marketing too. I love showing the community how amazing and fun this facility is. I wanted to learn something new and be great at it. The staff here are the best. Most of the staff have been here for years together and are so helpful to each other. They are so patient and compassionate. They give premium care. I genuinely enjoy coming to work here every day. I look forward to seeing the staff and the residents. I look forward to helping the floor staff too. I have also been a STNA for 15 years now so I help as much as I can. The residents here are the best, everyone knows everyone. It really is like a little family. I am so blessed to be in such an amazing, fun, happy environment."

Melissa Mick, STNA Transporter

Melissa spends her days taking our residents to and from appointments, helping our STNAs on the floor, and managing Central Supply. She is our jack of all trades!

"I have had a background in healthcare for as long as I can remember; 20 years. I love learning new things, and I really enjoy my job. I have been here for 2 years now. We have the best residents and staff. I really look forward to them every day. I love the care we provide, and the memories we make with everyone."

Robbie Howell, Maintenance Director

Robbie is active all day at our facility ensuring all is well. Our residents love having him with us and making small talk with him.

"I have been here for a year now. This facility is very nice, and we have very caring staff here. I have years of experience with maintenance, and I love to help others. Knowing I am making a difference in the quality of life of the residents is what is most important to me. I enjoy helping them and spending time with them."

Mary Johnson, Business Office Manager

We love her spunky self, and our building loves her contributions to making a great environment. She manages two of our facilities and does an amazing job of staying organized.

"I have been here since July 21, 2017. I love collaborating with people, especially the elderly. This job gives me the opportunity to do what I love the most, to TALK! I enjoy knowing that I might be able to assist a family member or resident turn something negative, into something positive. I recommend this facility for employment and for care. We absolutely have the most caring individuals anyone could want. We treat every single person that walks through our doors as family. Our staff is second to none; 100% the best!"

Kayla Angle, Housekeeping and Laundry Supervisor

Kayla makes sure our facility is sparkling clean every day and smells fresh.

"I wanted to do this position because I wanted to be more involved and help make a difference in any way that I could. I first came as a housekeeper and was promoted to the supervisor position shortly after. I have been here for 10 months. I enjoy seeing our residents every day and how they enjoy their clean spaces. We have a talented team here who care for the residents and do their best to make their days great! We have an incredibly fun family environment here."

Terri Klein, Activities Director and Social Services

Terri does an amazing job at coordinating activities and events for our residents. She is a resident favorite!

"I have been with this company for 8 years. I love my residents and the relationships we have formed. I love hearing their stories and making them happy. They love Bingo so much we play numerous times a week! This is a great facility because everyone genuinely cares."

Pam Cox, Medical Records

Pam oversees 8 of our buildings, keeping us organized in all aspects!

"I have been doing medical records for a total of 37 years. I really enjoy it! I have been with this company for 21 years. I truly enjoy my job and helping with my other facilities. Our staff is great. They are friendly and caring. We all make everyone feel welcome. Everyone is willing to help, and you can tell they truly care about the residents. Lafayette is always so clean, great food, and a great place to work!"

Jay Olinger, Administrator

Jay is consistently helping all departments on top of his own duties. We appreciate him so much!

"I always wanted to be in an administrative role. I have always been a people person and wanted to help others in any way I could. I have been with this company for a total of 10 years now. I enjoy interacting with our staff and the residents. We provide superior care and have a home-like environment. It’s unmatched to anywhere else."

Amy Morris, MDS Nurse

Amy enjoys hosting bible study with our residents and truly cares about their spiritual well-being.

"I came here 3 years ago from a hospital. I was ready for something new, but something where I could also interact with the residents. MDS allows me to do so. I get to do their assessments, get to know them, and hear their great stories. I like seeing the residents and I enjoy working with my awesome team here too."

Willie Welsh, Dietary Manager

Willie loves the food she provides for our residents and the staff. Willie is very kind and is always willing to help anyone with anything.

"I have been in Dietary for a total of 21 years. I came here about a year ago. I had worked here previously as a Cook and Dietary Aide and loved the environment. I looked forward to coming back home. I love seeing our residents’ smiles. We all really come together to meet the residents’ needs. We are all one big family, and that means a lot. Your family is our family here."

Brooke Cramblett, Therapy Manager

Brooke is highly involved in all therapy sessions with the residents. Skilled nursing and long-term care, Brooke is sure to help everyone achieve their goals.

"I knew in high school that I was pursuing a degree in PT. It wasn’t until completing my clinical that I realized that skilled nursing/geriatrics was my true passion. I started my career at the hospital for several years until a position became available here at Lafayette Pointe and since then I have transitioned into the Rehab Manager position. I have been here for 7 years now! Knowing that I can put a smile on a patient’s face and make them laugh all while improving their strength and mobility to achieve their personal goals makes my job worth it. I would bring my family here in a heartbeat. Our staff exceeds compassion with every staff member being directly involved every step of the way."
