January Employee Spotlight

For the New Year, Lafayette Pointe wanted to spotlight our new Registered Nurse, Kali Ehman! Kali came to us with a wealth of knowledge and experience, and we're ecstatic to have her giving excellent care to our residents. We sat down with Kali to hear why she chose this career and why it means so much to her.

"I wanted to become an RN because I love geriatrics. You get to meet interesting people with interesting lives and unique perspectives. They come with lifelong experiences, unlike younger adults. Seniors face a broader range of complicated medical issues like increased rates of acute illness, injury, and chronic diseases. In long-term care, you are given the opportunity to truly get to know your patients and develop a special relationship with them."

Aside from her professional life, in her free time, Kalie enjoys spending time with her husband of just under five years and her loving daughter, whom she homeschools and loves every second of it. They love to travel to Tennessee whenever they get the chance. 



"I have been a Lafayette Pointe for one month now, and I have to praise the staff on this one. They have created such a caring environment with impeccably high standards of care delivered with kindness and warmth. The relationships and friendships that I have already built with my patients and their families are my favorite part of this position.

This facility provides a safe, clean, and healthy environment where you or your loved ones receive the care they need. The staff members go above and beyond, with the management team being very helpful. This facility has never made me feel like a bother because the whole team is so helpful to each other. The amount of kindness and teamwork I have been shown has honestly been something that I will never forget. I am grateful to have joined such a great team!"
